— Paul Gedoun, Pointcorp Development

VERDé Design Group were engaged to provide concept design, detailed design, construction documentation and contract administration for this premium and exclusive project, that focussed on presenting a high-end, refined palette of soft and hard materials to reflect the luxury architectural design and the client’s desire to deliver a Luxe development product.

This was achieved through the use of a simplified, high quality palette of elements and the layout of private courtyards that contribute to the luxury character of the landscape – elements such as pavement finishes, plant material and lighting.

The small footprint of some of the spaces presented a challenge to deliver design solutions that met strict standards, yet still conveyed a high-end look and feel.

The result was highly detailed, luxurious private courtyards incorporating plunge pools, dining space and gardens that create seamless visual and physical connections from the internal entertainment space and bar.

VERDé also managed the procurement and growing-on of seventy-five (75) x 4m tall shrubs to be installed in the project to provide instant screening and privacy to all boundaries, and to provide a green backdrop to the private courtyards and plunge pools.

The approved Concept Design was progressed into detailed documentation for Tender and Construction. VERDé provided Contract Administration services to the client to oversee, inspect and report on the Landscape works and liaised with Council to gain the required approvals and coordinated streetscape solutions, including meeting a requirement to retain two significant street trees and the heritage kerbs within the roadway.

Every element of the project was thoughtfully considered and delivered within a tight budget and timeframe, using models to quickly assess opportunities, constraints and design changes.
